Welcome to the Appraisers Association of Georgia

The Appraisers Association of Georgia (AAG) is the state’s only association of personal property appraisers. AAG appraisers specialize in all types of personal property including fine and decorative arts, collectables, jewelry and residential contents.

AAG members deliver independent, ethical and objective valuations for a variety of purposes such as insurance coverage and claims, estates tax, equitable distribution, charitable donations, liquidation, or simply for personal knowledge.

With the highest level of professionalism, our members perform appraisals for individuals, private collectors, attorneys, accountants, museums, educational institutions, banks, trusts, insurance brokers, and insurance carriers.

Our professionalism extends from extensive instruction and years of experience in the field. All of our members are trained in valuation methodology and are required to be certified according to the professional standards, known in the industry as USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice).

COVID-19 Note: COVID-19 was declared a pandemic on March 11, 2020 by the World Health Organization. AAG members currently follow guidelines established by the three national organizations (AAA, ASA, ISA), which they adopted for both client's and appraisers' safety. Recognizing that USPAP does not require work to be inspected in person, current conditions allow appraisers to conduct virtual inspections or “Desktop Appraisals,” which are appraisals made without a personal inspection long as the limiting conditions and extraordinary assumptions are included within the final report.
